Tie rods helps to turn the wheel. It consists of an inner and an outer end. The tie rod transmits force from the steering center link or the rack gear to the steering knuckle. The outer tie rod end connects with an adjusting sleeve, which allows the length of the tie rod to be adjustable. This adjustment is used to set a vehicleƒ??s alignment angle.

If your vehicle pulls to one side while driving, or when braking, it’s possible that bad tie rods are to blame. If the tie rods on your vehicle do need to be replaced, it’s recommended that both right and left sets of tie rods be replaced at the same time, and that a full four-wheel vehicle alignment be done once they’ve been changed.
