Transmission mounts like Engine Mounts are similar in design and its primary job is to reduce the transmission vibrations from the vehicle chassis. Without these mounts, the interior noise and comfort level in todayƒ??s vehicles would be significantly different than what we have grown accustomed to.

Transmission mounts are made with a rubber material so that there is no direct metal-to-metal contact between the transmission and the car body. Main symptom for a failing engine mount is the increase in vibration and noise.
